The Great Massingham Area Community Car Scheme offers a friendly and dependable door to door car service, seven days a week for anyone without personal transport.
Passengers book a trip by phoning
Please try to give at least 2 working days notice (see ‘How to book a trip’).
Trips can include
- Doctors, dentist, opticians, chiropodist, hospital appointments and vets
- Hospital visits
- Shopping, day centres
- Visits to friends or relatives
- Clubs (e.g. Massingham or Syderstone Film clubs)
- Church visits
- Meeting or catching buses or trains
The Scheme is supported by volunteer drivers who use their own cars. The charge is approximately 40p a mile, payable to the driver after the trip.
Massingham Area Community Car Scheme is a not-for-profit organisation and a member of the Norfolk Community Transport Association (www.ncta.org.uk). It is funded by donations from individuals and the following organisations: Norfolk County Council; King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council; the parish councils of Bircham, Docking, East Rudham, Great Massingham, Syderstone, Harpley, West Rudham, Weasenham All Saints, Weasenham St Peter; The Sandringham Flower Show and the Massingham and Docking Surgeries.
